Only some of my themes show up in wp-content>themes folder

I am watching "How to make child themes"in How to Make a Website with Wordpress. In my wordpress, I have 7 theme options (I installed) that show up under appearance>themes as options for me to activate. But on my computer itself, only the Twenty-eleven and Twenty-twelves themes show. I am trying to create a child theme for the Finale theme but Finale (and the other 4) doesn't show up. Any ideas?

Well, if you've got 7 themes available to activate in the WP admin, then those 7 have indeed been downloaded to your server.

I think you might have an FTP problem on your hands. You need to make sure to sync from the server to your local machine, not the other way around.

Make sure you sync the files on your computer with the files on your server via FTP.

You should see all the themes/plugins that you download through the WP admin once you've done that.

I did that. I dragged the wordpress folder onto the server via Transmit as my FTP. But no change as what was on the computer only showed the themes twenty-eleven and twenty-twelve so that is all that is on the server too.
