order of gallery images in wordpress

l am using a plugin called WordPress Carousel Pro to create a gallery for my pages in wordpress. But l cant get the images to appear in the order l want them to. l have tried draging and dropping, reversing them, using the DSC and ASC but none of them seem to be working. The images seem to appear in the same other. Any one know of a way l get around this please

Hi Kelvin :)

I am not specifically familiar with that carousel - however, I am familiar with changing content on my site, and my changes not being reflected live. It sounds like you could have a caching issue.

One thing to try - after saving your work (I'm going to guess that if you are capable of dragging and dropping your images to change their order in the back-end, then that is what you're meant to do) to delete the WP Cache.

This can be done by installing a plugin to cache WP, and like most plugins, each will work a bit differently. For my website using Customizr theme, I use a plugin called WP-cache.com. After you install and activate, it appears in your left-hand admin bar. You can click it anytime you make a change to your site, and it will take you to an options area. I click "on" to "cache frontend" and "new post or page" (so I don't have to press it every time I make a post). I then clicked the green "save changes" button underneath. The part you'll use the most is under that box (there are only two!) it says "clear all cache now". Press the green button under there that says "clear all cache".

Hope this works for you! If not, it's a good plugin to use, anyhow. :)

Try contacting the plugin developers and see what they suggest. I haven't used that plugin before.

l have contact him everywhere, by email, twitter, support page ,wordpress support page. He just hasnt taken any notice at all. Any other plugin you would suggest. l just want to create a responsive image gallery with 4 or 5 thumbnails.

Yeah, that's probably a sign you don't want to be depending on that plugin. Can you just use the native photo gallery and make it responsive on your own? It looks like there are a lot of plugins that do this as well.

Yeah thanks Zac Gordon l think its time for me to i to start learning plugin development before its too late now because none of the plugins does it for me. Was actually gunna post a question about how to change the url of the images for a custom one. l tried using a wp custom url but didnt seem to work for me as mess with my page layout. Any plugins or ways l can do it while l start learning my plugin development please?
