can anyone advise what I'm doing wrong here... I seem to be missing something.
<?php
//Place your code below this comment
$firstName = 'Rasmus';
$lastName = 'Lerdorf';
$fullName = "$firstName" . " $lastName";
$fullName .= ' was the original creator of PHP.';
$fullName .= "\n";
echo $fullName;

Courses Plus Student 337 PointsHey there,
I'm not sure you'd want the whole string to be stored in $fullName variable, it's just good for nothing. try rather to maintain the $fullName variable stick to what its name indicates, a fullName !
<?php
//Place your code below this comment
$firstName = 'Rasmus';
$lastName = 'Lerdorf';
$fullName = "$firstName $lastName";
echo "$fullName was the original creator of PHP\n.";
?>

You don't need to put quote marks around
$firstName
and$lastName
in your$fullName
variable. You obviously still need the space, though, so the correct way to go would be as follows...$fullName = $firstName . ' ' . $lastName;
Do you understand? Please let me know if you have any questions!
