19,573 PointsPHP DB with PDO final challenge Try Catch block
PHP & Databases with PDO challenge at the end
Wrap our $db object in a try catch block. Then set up the catch statement to look for any Exception class and pass it to an object named $e Bummer! It looks like there is no Exception class
my code:
try {
$db = new PDO('sqlite::memory');
$db->setAttribute(PDO::ATTR_ERRMODE, PDO::ERRMODE_EXCEPTION);
} catch(Exception $e) {
echo $e->getMessage();
die();
}
What am I missing? thanks in advance!
<?php
//Place your code below this comment
try {
$db = new PDO('sqlite::memory');
$db->setAttribute(PDO::ATTR_ERRMODE, PDO::ERRMODE_EXCEPTION);
} catch(Exception $e) {
echo $e->getMessage();
die();
}
?>

33,990 PointsHi Darren, the challenge doesn't require you to do anything within the catch block, simply remove the echo and die statements and your code should pass the challenge:)
