PHP Quiz

Hi!

I had a question from a PHP quiz. The quiz asks: "Create a new variable name $isIdentical. Compare the variable $a as identical (equal AND of the same type) as the string "5" and assign the results to $isIdentical."

Here is my CODE:

<?php $a = 5; //Place your code below this comment $isBoolean = True $a = 10; $a = 5; $isIdentical ?>

I am fairly new to coding-- especially with PHP. Anything helps!!

You need to use the identity operator, as it compares both the value and the data type.

=== is the identity operator.

The equality operator only compares the value, not the data type.

== is the equality operator.

$a = 5;  // This is a integer, where as "5" would be a string

//They are not identical.
$isIdentical = $a === "5";
