Using the filter and reduce methods on the purchaseItems array, add the total price of all the groceries (items with a dept. of groceries). Store the total price in the groceryTotal variable. The correct amount can be seen in the comments below.
const purchaseItems = [
{
name: 'apples',
dept: 'groceries',
price: 2.49
},
{
name: 'bread',
dept: 'groceries',
price: 2.99
},
{
name: 'batteries',
dept: 'electronics',
price: 5.80
},
{
name: 'eggs',
dept: 'groceries',
price: 3.99
},
{
name: 't-shirts',
dept: 'apparel',
price: 9.99
}
];
let groceryTotal;
groceryTotal = purchaseItems.filter(purchaseItems => purchaseItems.price > 10)
.reduce((sum, purchaseItems) => sum + purchaseItems.price, 0);
console.log(groceryTotal);
// groceryTotal should be: 9.47
// Write your code below

231,248 PointsYou're pretty close there! But the instructions said, "add the total price of all the groceries (items with a dept. of groceries)"
It looks like your filter is looking for items with a price
over 10 (and there are none) instead of items with a dept
of "groceries".
