Please install the "MultiPurpose" parent theme.

I am trying to create a child theme for the "MultiPurpose" theme and keep getting the following error:

<em>The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.

Name Description MultiPurpose Child The parent theme is missing. Please install the "MultiPurpose" parent theme.</em>

The parent theme is installed and the child theme has been uploaded (MultiPurposechild) to the server. It shows up in the theme folder on the server but not on the Theme window in the admin section of my WordPress install.

I've tried searching for an answer to but it seems like I've covered all bases. What do you think I'm doing wrong?

Was this a child theme you created or someone else.

What files are currently in the child theme template?

Can you activate the parent theme by chance? Just want to make sure there are no problems with it.

Hi Zac,

Thanks for taking a moment to reply to my question.

It's a child theme I created but I managed to figure out the issue: the template name I was using in the comments section of the style.css file for child theme was using caps instead of all lowercase.

The template names on my server are all lower case, as all are by default I'm sure.

I'm rockin' and rollin' so now back to the next part of the course.

Thanks again.
