14,016 PointsPOSIX command prompt possible on windows machine
I am new to the console foundation course. I have two windows pcs, one with windows 10 and another with windows 7. opposed to using the online console provided, I was wondering if it is possible to install a command prompt on a windows machine that accepts the posix commands we are learning during this course. I have found a link with step by step instructions, is this what I am looking for? https://www.howtogeek.com/249966/how-to-install-and-use-the-linux-bash-shell-on-windows-10/ .

231,261 PointsIt looks like it would do the job. But I notice they mention Cygwin, which would also do that job and a lot more. I use Cygwin constantly myself and recommend it. But either way will give you the command interface you're looking for.
