9,467 PointsReferenceError: Can't find variable: input
Ive inserted the code: const inputValue = document.querySelector( input );
And I keep getting the error message: ReferenceError: Can't find variable: input I've tried various different ways and I keep getting different error messages. I simply fail to see how to continue with this task in a way that differs enough from this. If Im doing something wrong please tell me, because I have no Idea what to do now.
const inputValue = document.querySelector( input );

8,361 PointsThere are 2 issues with your code. First, querySelector takes a string as a parameter, and input
without quotes around it makes it a variable, so to select an element you want:
const inputValue = document.querySelector('input');
I'll point out that the challenge asks for the value of the input element, so you'll have to pull that afterwards, or you can do it in the same statement with:
const inputValue = document.querySelector('input').value;

9,467 PointsThank you so much! I had actually previously tried "const inputValue = document.querySelector('input');" , and yet, I still got the error message: "ReferenceError: Can't find variable: input" so I resorted to the other one. Never did the error messages mention value(I know that the instructions mentioned it, but I found it weird how the error didn't say anything).I think theres some refining to do for the error messages, they are somewhat confusing in this task.

8,361 PointsWhen I do
const inputValue = document.querySelector('input');
, I get the error:Bummer: Make sure that you get the value of the selected 'input' element.
This goes to the 2nd point in my answer about pulling the value at the same time.
