Python Regular Expressions in Python Introduction to Regular Expressions Negated Numbers

Regex not working

I can't figure this out

negate.py
import re

string = '1234567890'

def good_numbers():
    return re.findall(r"""
    \d
    [^567]
    """, string, re.X)

You are very close! Two items to fix:

  • The challenge asks for variable good_numbers, not a function.
  • Your current regex says "any digit \d followed by not 5,6,7. This might let slip through a 5, 6, or 7 if in the odd-indexed position. Remove the \d.

Post back if you need more help! Good luck!!
