iOS Swift Collections and Control Flow Dictionaries in Swift Working With Dictionaries

Retriving value from dictonaries

i cannot understand where i made mistake

dictionary.swift
var iceCream = ["CC": "Chocolate Chip", "AP" : "Apple Pie", "PB" : "Peanut Butter"]
iceCream.updateValue("Rocky Road", forKey: "RR")

let applePie = "Apple Pie"

Hi Mir,

You're on the right track, you're setting the applePie constant to the right value, but you have to do it using the dictionary. Next to that, you don't have to set the value for AP in the dictionary to nil. You could do something like this:

let applePie = iceCream["AP"]

to set applePie to the value of the AP key in the dictionary.

Hope this helped,

Regards, Jari
