20,008 PointsRsync course - an idea that sounds good to you?
I offer Treehous to develop an Rsync course that could be under development tools.
Of course, This course is aimed to Linux CLI users and this should be noted well.
I only suggest it, without aiming to open a discussion but I encourage anyone to reply if it wants this course as well. With enough demand, the Treehouse team will seriously consider it.

231,261 PointsI'm not sure Rsync warrants an entire course.
But it might make a good workshop, or be part of a larger "linux tools" course. There are several tools like rsync
that people might not be familiar with, or are only familiar with a limited set of their extensive options.

20,008 PointsI thought about an rsync workshop but came to the conclusion it probably won't meet the didactance standards in Treehouse. I get the impression that basic work with rsync has a steep learning curve and a course with quizes and code exercises is the best fit, in a similar way that Git got a course.

231,261 PointsI'd agree that
rsync
has extensive options and usage modes. And I admit I frequently need to consult the manpage when I use it. But it's not git in either complexity or popularity.I see your point, but I'd still like to see it in a "tools" course that covered other things as well. It could still have an entire stage with quizzes and challenges.
