7,851 PointsSays it needs more contents.
This is from "File Handling with PHP".
Challenge Task 3 of 3
For each of the files whose name contained "fun", convert the contents of the file to lowercase and display the lowercase version after each H3 title.
What's wrong with my code?
<?php
//add code here
$files = scandir('example');
foreach ($files as $file)
{
if (strpos($file,'fun') !== false)
{
echo '<h3>'.$file.'</h3>';
$contents = file_get_contents($file);
echo '<p>'.strtolower($contents).'</p>';
}
}

10,754 PointsYou are calling the "file_get_contents" function on the wrong directory (root directory). You'll need to specify it to get the files from the "example" subfolder.
$contents = file_get_contents('example/'.$file);
Top tip: In order to troubleshoot problems like this it might be helpful to call the var_dump function to see what the variable contains.
var_dump($contents);

7,851 PointsThank you! That worked. I had tried specifying the path to the file earlier, but I did it wrong:
$contents = file_get_contents('/example/'.$file);
