Courses Plus Student 8,508 PointsShould I learn Java Script before automation testing and selenium ?
I am new to this . I finished the Manual QA course and went on to the Selenium and Automation QA but i am a little bit confused because i find it hard do understand , so should i go and try to learn Java Script first and then come back to automation testing ?

47,876 PointsI think you do need to understand code before you can do QA and set up tests on it, so I would say that you should take a language first. If the course is focusing on JavaScript, then yes, take that one. And you may need to go beyond the basic course to get enough background to do the QA courses. But you can always try just the basics course, then go to the QA courses and if you find yourself still not understanding, then go further with the programming courses until you do. You don't have to do just one course at a time. Whatever meets your needs and interests.
