Should we create our blog on Medium or go for our own implementation?

These days many people maintain blogs on medium. So my question is, what are the pros and cons of using medium to create a community around our product when compared to maintaining a self-hosted blog?

Hi Pubudu,

The short answer: Do both. Build a great website. Also post occasional articles on medium and point people to your website.

Long Answer: Depends what you want. Medium is easy, inexpensive and has a vibrant community. It is a great place to market your business.

A self-hosted blog/website gives you more flexibility and control but takes more work to develop.

More is better...do both.
