Sitewide Notices in BuddyPress

Does anyone know how to post a sitewide notice using BuddyPress ANYWHERE on a WordPress site? I have a client that wants this information posted on a section of their home page (not in footer or in a sidebar) Thanks!

Brandon,

There's a conversation over at https://buddypress.org/support/topic/custom-display-of-sitewide-notices/ that talks about this issue. It's ends with the suggestion of creating a widget folder in your theme directory and using this class https://gist.github.com/chlab/ad608eafe2e1262140fb (then activating the widget in the admin).
