Slider on my website

I'm trying to add a Slider of photos and videos into my website (Carousel would be fine too) This is the code for my website page and I would like to put it under the Header this is the header.php file

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge">
    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
    <!-- The above 3 meta tags *must* come first in the head; any other head content must come *after* these tags -->
    <meta name="description" content="">
    <meta name="author" content="">
    <link rel="icon" href="../../favicon.ico">

    <title>Jumbotron Template for Bootstrap</title>

      <?php wp_head(); ?>

  </head>

  <body <?php body_class(); ?>>
    <nav class="navbar navbar-inverse navbar-fixed-top">
      <div class="container">
        <div class="navbar-header">
          <button type="button" class="navbar-toggle collapsed" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#navbar" aria-expanded="false" aria-controls="navbar">
            <span class="sr-only">Toggle navigation</span>
            <span class="icon-bar"></span>
            <span class="icon-bar"></span>
            <span class="icon-bar"></span>
          </button>
          <a class="navbar-brand" href="<?php bloginfo( 'url' ); ?>"><?php bloginfo( 'name' ); ?></a>
        </div>

        <?php
            $args = array (
                'menu'          => 'header-menu',
                'menu_class'    => 'nav navbar-nav',
                'container'     => 'false'
                );
                wp_nav_menu( $args );

        ?>

        <div id="navbar" class="navbar-collapse collapse">
          <form class="navbar-form navbar-right">
            <div class="form-group">
              <input type="text" placeholder="Email" class="form-control">
            </div>
            <div class="form-group">
              <input type="password" placeholder="Password" class="form-control">

    <div class="jumbotron">
      <div class="container">

        <p><a class="btn btn-primary btn-lg" href="#" role="button">Learn more &raquo;</a></p>
      </div>
    </div>

    <div class="container">

So easy, but I overlooked it. Img tags take a src not an href.

No worries, should have caught that earlier but I was looking for bigger problems to this.

Have you tried adding the slider in yet? Which one are you using?

I would assume you don't know want the slider to show on every page? If that were true you'd probably not want to show it on the header.php file.

Also I edited the code format so it showed up a bit better

I'm actually using this code that I got from Bootstrap website for the carousel. And this is my index.php when I added the code, but I still cannot see the images inside, pages are going but they are with broken links. Could you help me please ?

<?php get_header(); ?>

<!-- carousel --> <div id="carousel-example-generic" class="carousel slide" data-ride="carousel"> <!-- Indicators --> <ol class="carousel-indicators"> <li data-target="#carousel-example-generic" data-slide-to="0" class="active"></li> <li data-target="#carousel-example-generic" data-slide-to="1"></li> <li data-target="#carousel-example-generic" data-slide-to="2"></li> </ol>

<!-- Wrapper for slides -->
 <div class="carousel-inner" role="listbox">
   <div class="item active">
      <img href="http://localhost/localwp.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/1920x1200-immagine3.png" alt="Girl">
     </div>

     <div class="item">
         <img href="http://localhost/localwp.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/1920x1200-immagine2.png" alt="City">
     </div>
      ...
    </div>
 </div>
  ...

</div>

<!-- Controls -->
<a class="left carousel-control" href="#carousel-example-generic" role="button" data-slide="prev">
  <span class="glyphicon glyphicon-chevron-left" aria-hidden="true"></span>
  <span class="sr-only">Previous</span>
</a>
<a class="right carousel-control" href="#carousel-example-generic" role="button" data-slide="next">
  <span class="glyphicon glyphicon-chevron-right" aria-hidden="true"></span>
  <span class="sr-only">Next</span>
</a>

</div>

<!-- Left and right controls --> <a class="left carousel-control" href="#myCarousel" role="button" data-slide="prev"> <span class="glyphicon glyphicon-chevron-left" aria-hidden="true"></span> <span class="sr-only">Previous</span> </a> <a class="right carousel-control" href="#myCarousel" role="button" data-slide="next"> <span class="glyphicon glyphicon-chevron-right" aria-hidden="true"></span> <span class="sr-only">Next</span> </a> </div>

What if you put the image href in the browser as an address? Do you see an image?

Good, do you see at least the first image in the carousel?
