HTML Introduction to HTML and CSS (2016) Getting Familiar with HTML and CSS Test: Changing the Look of a Web Page

So is the .CSS page suppose to be blank?

I am just trying to figure out if I am supposed to code in the whole .CSS tag for pt.2 or am I just that dumb

Hi James,

Usually, you'll have multiple tabs in your code challenge area to do the work you need to do. However it looks like you have the code you need in the styles.css tab already? :-)

It looks like you have linked your html and css correctly. When you first start the .css file it will be blank, you have to add all your own rules.

One note, in your .css file you are using a period before your h1 rule .h1, so this will only apply to any html tags with the class="h1", for example html <div class="h1"></div>.

If you want it to apply to your html <h1>Welcome to My Web Page!</h1> tag you should remove the period "." before the h1 in your css rule.
