In this AJAX basics chapter, some of the questions use "var" and don't allow use of "let" or "const". Also, this ch. does not allow arrow functions. This is confusing and harmful to students...

19,353 PointsI would say embrace it. You will stumble across legacy code in the wild, among other things. Treehouse staff try to keep up to date and generally do a great job at it. Being able to work through things like this is annoying but beneficial.

Front End Web Development Techdegree Student 8,575 PointsI understand that, but treehouse is a teaching resource, so Imo it's a different story. For example, if too much of their content goes out of date, customers may choose competitors such as code academy instead.
