1,942 PointsSomething is fried with my calculateTaxes method. When calling it, swift is not prompting for a Double, as expected
Does a fun behave differently when embedded in a struct?
struct Expense {
var description: String
var amount: Double = 100.0
init (description: String) {
self.description = description
}
// add the calculateTaxes method here
// it should accept only one parameter named 'percentage' of type Double
func calculateTaxes (percentage: Double) -> Double {
return (self.amount * (percentage/100))
}
}
var item = Expense (description: "Big Tax")
let amount = 100.0

6,675 PointsWhen you assign amount the value of 100 you need to use dot syntax(e.g. title.amount = 100) instead of assigning amount as a constant
