stage 3 values and unit

h2 { font-size: 3.313em; }

The Q is give your h2 an em value of 53px. I calculate it 53px = 3.313em but I have error

The question is asking you to calculate an em value equivalent to 53px, based upon a base value of 16px. To calculate this you would divide the target value by the base value, or 53/16. When I do that, I get 3.3125. If I set:

h2 {
  font-size: 3.3125em;
}

the challenge passes, and takes me to the next question, which requires the same calculation, but with 20px as the target value and 16px as the base value.

You want to divide 53 by 16 which is 3.3125
