if '("language") = "C#";
- you have a stray apostrophe (
'
) - you have quotes around the variable name language
- you closed the parentheses before the expression was complete
- you have an assignment operator (
=
) instead of an equality test (==
) - you have a stray semicolon after the expression
What you probably intended would look more like this:
if (language == "C#")
