Stuck on exercise

I am getting a message that amount isn't a member of the Struct Expense but it is listed as a var?

struct.swift 
struct Expense {
    var description: String
    var amount: Double = 0.0

    init (description: String) {
        self.description = description
    }
func calculateTaxes(percentage: Double) -> Double {
    return (self.amount * (percentage/100))
    }
}
var item = Expense(description: "Travel")
Expense.amount = 100

you need to set the amount property of item which is an instance of Expense, not the Expense struct itself

var item = Expense(description: "Travel")
item.amount = 100
