Finally, give .wildlife the property and value that forces any padding and border widths into its total width and height:

I have been stuck on this for the past 2 days. I have been looking through the MDN docs as well. I feel like it's an occams razor sort of answer. Any help is greatly appreciated!

.wildlife {
  background-image: url("img/bear.jpg");
  background-repeat: no-repeat;
  background-position: center;
  background-size: cover;
  box-sizing: border-box;
}

box-sizing: border box;

This makes it so that if the element you're targeting has a set padding and width, the padding will be factored into the total height/width of the element.

So if you wanted your element to be 200px in height and set it's top padding to 100px, the total height would come out to 300px, however if you use box-sizing: border-box, it's as if the top padding is 100px and the remainder of the element is another 100px to come out to the set width.

Hope this helps!

box-sizing: border-box;
