Just can't figure out what is wrong here. The direction is to "Add a nested ordered list to the shapes item".

43,828 PointsHey Maria,
You created your ordered list corrected. The only issue is that it is not nested.
You can fix your code by placing your ordered list right inside of your shapes list item. (i.e. <li>shapes
here </li>
)

9,326 PointsDon't put anything ("item 1" etc.) inside the <li> tags

Treehouse TeacherWhen you add a nested list, you need to put that new list inside the <li> tag you're nesting within like this:
<ul>
<li>Item 1
<ul>
<li>nested item 1</li>
<li>nested item 1</li>
<li>nested item 1</li>
</li> <!-- end of Item 1 list item -->
</ul>
