syntax

I just keep receiving various "syntax errors" with this code, the value it returns to me is empty.

script.js
function max(firstNum, secondNum) {
  if ( firstNum > secondNum ) {
    return firstNum;
  } else {
    return secondNum;
  }

It looks like the function is missing the final closing brace to end the code body.
