Syntax Highlighting in Wordpress <pre>?

Hi, I want to write my own Code Snippets on my Wordpress Site so i can remember all the things i've learned. Can you tell how to make nice looking <pre></pre> Element. It should look like on the teamtreehouse Code Challenges. With nice linenumbers and colored Tags. I want to write HTML, CSS and PHP snippets. But <?php ?> doesn't work in the normal Wordpress <pre> element.
