The forum uses markdown to correctly format code, check out this thread on how to type code in the forum for some examples.

If I had to take a random guess, I'd bet you are confusing <th> mentioned in the last video with <thead> mentioned in this one.

Haha my cryptic copy pasted html didn't do it?

Basically the system wasn't recognizing a <th> and wouldn't let me move on in the coding challenges. No biggie, just going to skip that step.

The system, it pretty good. If you aren't passing a step, you are most likely doing something wrong.

If I were you, I'd try to figure it out instead of giving up.
