16,515 PointsTargeting the Span Element
Create a new rule that targets the span element inside the .intro . Give the span element a bold font-weight, and an italic font style.

Treehouse TeacherThe problem here is that you've removed the initial selector that selects all of the intro class. And now you have one open curly braces and two closed curly braces. It says to make a new rule to target the span inside the intro class so you need to add that below the selector that targets all of intro. Take a look to see what I mean:
.intro {
font-size: 1.25em;
line-height: 1.6;
}
.intro span {
font-weight: bold;
font-style: italic;
}
Hope this helps!

11,157 PointsI keep making the mistake of not looking at what the challenge actually tells you to do before answering (facepalm). Lesson learned on my part.
