I didn't see this mentioned in the video nor in the code provided onscreen. Did I miss something? I figured it out on a whim, but something like this could throw a basic beginner.

You're right there <tbody> wasn't mentioned in the video. This is a known issues, there's teacher's note below the video mentioning a little bit of info about it.
