Hello, I've just installed Python 3.14.7 on my macOS. When I open the IDLE on my Mac I typed python3 , hit enter, and it said:
Traceback (most recent call last): File "<pyshell#0>", line 1, in <module> python3 NameError: name 'python3' is not defined
Is this test only relevant to the Treehouse workspace? I was watching the How to Install Python (macOS) with Rachel Johnson.

python3 is a command that would be entered in the macOS Terminal, not inside IDLE. You would use python3 when you want to start the Python interpreter or run a Python program using your installed Python 3 version.
So if you're already in IDLE, you don't need to type python3, because you're already running Python! 😃
You can test it by entering something like:
print("Hello, world!")
