Theme development and multiple portfolio pages

I have build a website which i want to develop into a WordPress theme so that i can do online sales.

I have followed the basis of shirts for Mike but where they only have one portfolio page with all their products on, i want to have multiple portfolio pages as i have different categories.

What i have done so far is on each portfolio page, instead a loop that loops thru a <ul>, i have created galleries! I then want to be able to click on an image from the gallery to be taken to a single-portfolio page, which i can the have a full view of the image with an option of purchasing through Woocommerce!

Is this possible, or can you only link to single-portfolio.php using a loop. If this is the case i guess i would have to create a widget on the portfolio page where customers can search through categories??

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

yes and yes.

you can have more then one portfolio page and they can link to a full description type of page. as i have not watch that video yet i can not tell you what you would have to do in regards to this video.
