This must be outdated, correct? Having a terrible time getting this set-up. Anyone else?

Almost every step is getting some sort of error or warning. Are there updated instructions somewhere we can reference? Very new to Laravel and feeling very overwhelmed at the moment.

Yeah, the instructions for the course are pretty outdated and a lot has changed with Laravel since the videos. As far as setting it up, it's possible to figure it out watching the videos and referencing things online. I had a pretty difficult time trying to do it by watching the videos, but eventually got it working (and frequently searched for explanations of topics discussed). There are also a lot of great resources for Laravel outside of Treehouse. Here's a good one, for example: https://laracasts.com/series?curated .

I think they should remove the entire installation section or update it, it is outdated and it will lead nowhere if followed step by step as in the video
