It's not broken, it's just a bit confusing. The error message for step 2 with the code you provided is asking Bummer: Are you using the method that joins array elements and returns a new string? Even though that was the challenge for the first step.

So the code you have is correct for step 2, but the validation checks in the back end are still expecting to see the answer from step 1 in your code.
