9,074 PointsTitle Tags and Pipes
Hi,
When writing title tags, would you recommend using pipes? ie. Company Name | Post Title | Keywords and Location
or is it better to create a well crafted sentence or break it up in some other way?
Thanks kindly

The Pipes are how I separate important keywords in the title tag, but there's not a lot of room for a sentence in any Google listing. I think the maximum is about 70 characters so I just make sure the most important keywords are visible separating them with the Pipe character. :-)

9,074 PointsCheers Jonathan,
I suppose I'm really asking is this the industry standard or has the trend moved away from this.
Thanks a million

I'm not sure about trends to be honest but it's certainly a good way of making sure the search terms you want are prominent in your listing and of course if they're popular ones they'll match what others are searching which will only be good for your ranking.
