Transferring WP files to new webhost think I messed up..

I am transferring files to new webhost, and was under the impression the only file I needed was wp-content.

I copied wp-content onto my computer, installed wordpress on new webhost, deleted their default wp-content and replaced it with mine.

Now as I log in nothing is showing and I only see the default WP theme.

What to do?

Hey David, I hope you're doing great!

You got it half right here. You also need to export the database file (.sql) from your original WordPress website that you're transferring from and import it into your new database that is associated with the WordPress website you're migrating too.

Also, this will only work if all of your database credentials and domain name is the exact same as where you are migrating your website from.

Hope this helps you, Cheers!!!
