'error' not returning correct answer is what I'm receiving for this code block and I'm not sure what I'm missing in the code, assuming it's accounting for the conversion but can't figure it out, thanks in advance!
# EXAMPLES
# squared(5) would return 25
# squared("2") would return 4
# squared("tim") would return "timtimtim"
def squared(num):
while True:
try:
num = int()
except ValueError:
print(num*len(num))
else:
return num*num

- The line
num = int()
needs an argument forint()
. You can usenum
as the argument. - The
while
is not needed. You can comment it out or delete it. - The
print
function should be a return statement

14,396 PointsThanks Chris! Sorry it took so long to reply. I originally did not have the while loop but was running out resolutions, I think the num=int() needing an argument was my original issues, thank again!
