Using Wordpress Locally on Xampp and I cant access another page except index.php. Iam I missing something people? :(

Downloaded a live site via ftp. Set it up so it runs on the local host. When I click ahref link to another page nothing happens. Also if I try and enter the URL of the page e.g. localhost/page.php it does nothing, just loads the index page Iam already on. Only localhost/index.php works hmmm, any ideas.

Newbie to WP on Local host so could it be something I incorrectly set up, there is no database linked in however don't see how this would effect loading a page.

Wordpress uses MySQL to save pages, they aren't an actual file as you are thinking. You will need to migrate the database to your local environment and make the necessary changes (if needed) to make them viewable locally.
