ive being working on a website using wordpress , need some support , trying to figure out how to link categories to new pages , editing pages , just the website in general , please need some help , my first time

Hi Naylor, You asked a couple of things:

editing pages: 1) Log into dashboard at yourdomain.com/wp-admin 2) click Pages on left side of screen (probably the 4th option depending on if you have plugins) 3) Click on the name of the page you want to edit, or click "add new" to add a page. The "add new" will be at the towards the of the screen next to the big "Pages" in big black letters.

In terms of "linking categories to pages," could you give me some more details. Do you want a certain page to list all of the post categories? If so, you may want to consider a sidebar widget for this so it can be displayed on all or some of your pages, depending on your theme. This is normally found on the left hand side: Hover over "appearance," then click on "widgets." One of the options towards the top of the white bars will be categories. You drag and drop this to whichever area of the site you want, which will be represented with the options to the right. All of this depends on your theme though, so if this is not working, let me know which theme you are using and I can help you more.
