You were extremely close all you had to do was put the anchor tags <a> inside the <li> tags like my solution,

<!DOCTYPE html>

<html>

  <head>

    <title>Lists and Links</title>
  </head>

  <body>
  <ul>
      <li> <a href="cakes.html">Cakes</a></li>
  <li><a href="pies.html">Pies</a></li>
    <a href="candy.html">
  <li> <a href="candy.html"> Candy</a></li></a>
    </ul>
  </body>
</html>

      ```
Thanks you
