what does axis=0 means

Treehouse Moderator 68,454 PointsThe axis is the dimension in a multi-dimension array. So axis = 0
refers to the first dimension in the dimension shape tuple. For a basic 2-D array, axis 0 would be the rows, axis 1 would be the columns. As more dimensions are added, row and column will be the last two dimensions, with higher dimensions listed first. For a 3-D array, the first dimension (choosing which 2-D row and column set) would be axis 0.
