What does the " span.textContent = text " works here?

const span = document.createElement('span'); span.textContent = text li.appendChild(span)

Hi Hanwen!

text is whatever text/string value that was passed into the createLI function.

Therefore

span.textContent = text;

is effectively creating this:

<span>Text that was passed to the function</span>

And this:

li.appendChild(span);

is what will actually adds the span element to the page.
