What does this error mean in the context of this problem?

The error: init() takes 1 positional argument but 2 were given

Another very vague error message from Treehouse for code that works fine outside Treehouse.

I don't believe **kwargs counts as a positional argument so the only one would be self, what's the second one they're supplying?

Oh, I suspect they want name explicitly set although they didn't say that.

first_class.py 
class Student:
    def __init__(self, **kwargs):
        for attribute, value in kwargs.items():
            setattr(self, attribute, value)

    def praise(self):
        return "You inspire me, {}".format(self.name)

    def reassurance(self):
        return "Chin up, {}. You'll get it next time!".format(self.name)

    def feedback(self, grade):
        if grade > 50:
            return self.praise()
        return self.reassurance()

Yes, that was it. Here are the two lines that changed.

    def __init__(self, name='first', **kwargs):
        self.name = name
