What is an argument 3?

I already created a function but the task now is to pass it argument 3. What is argument 3?

squaring.py 
def square(number):
    result = number*number
    return result

It's wanting you to now use your function with the number 3. 3 is the argument and "passing it" basically means to use your function on the number 3.

square(3)

You just have to set this equal to "result". Keep in mind, this will be done outside of your function definition!
