231,248 PointsThe answer to "why?" is of course ... to learn responsive design!
The query asks you to: create a selector that chooses all list items that are nested inside the element with the id of "gallery". Then, inside your newly written selector, set the width property to a value of 28.3333%.
The media query is provided for you at the bottom of the file, you just need to fill it. Here's a few hints:
- a selector that chooses items inside other items is a "descendant selector"
- descendant selectors have two items separated by a space
- the outside element comes first
- to select an item by ID, use the item name with a pound-sign (#) in front of it
- the tag (and therefore selector) for a list item is li
I'm guessing that once you get your selector, you can handle setting the width property
