What is the correct output? Sorry the task is not clear to me.

You are really close. Looking at the first part of the regex, you have:

begining-of-line start-group start-char-set any-word-char comma end-char-set one-or-more space end-group

The error is the comma and space should be outside of the group since neither is part of the first name. Changing this will pass the challenge:

    ^([\w]+),\s  # <-- moved comma and space outside of group
    ([\w ]+)$
