What is the difference? log() vs error()

What is the difference between console.log() and console.error() apart from Andrew mentioned in the video that the console.error() might show up in a different colour in the console due to the fact is is an error?

Thanks in advance!

Your browser may provide filtering controls to display one but not the other.

These are two of a set of four console messaging methods. The set includes console.log(), console.info(), console.warn(), and console.error(). Besides visual differences, browsers generally offer options to display or conceal messages from each method.
