When is the WordPress Development track going to change?

Hi,

So I've been taking the WordPress development track for awhile. I was on step 6 of 7 in the track, at the 'How to Build a Wordpress Theme' section, and I had done 3 badges out of 8.

Then, I saw that Treehouse came out with a new course called 'WordPress Theme Development', so I decided to take that course instead. I'd like to say that it is much better than the 'How to Build a WordPress Theme' course. I've done 7 badges out of 10 and this course is much more straightforward.

Anyway, I saw comments that said that this new course is replacing the older course, which makes sense. However, in my track, it still has the old course listed as a prerequisite for the Wordpress Development Track. I think I'm in an older version of the Track, but when I did a google search for 'Wordpress Development Track' and saw the newer version of the Track, with the courses listed, it still had the old one there.

So I was wondering, when is the new course going to replace the old one as a prerequisite for the Wordpress Development Track?

Thanks.

Hi,

I just updated the track today. The plan was to launch the course and give it a week or two before adding it to the track. This is to give folks who were in the older version of the track some time to complete it before that course was removed. Sometimes I'll drop a course in the day it launches and sometimes wait two weeks or so to see the reaction or if it needs improvement before releasing.

Thanks for asking and keep an eye on the forums for notices about courses becoming outdated and replaced, etc :)
