Why it is telling me I need a button inside the form element when it clearly is?

Is it just a simple typo? I can't seem to spot it.

Brian;

You need to move the button element outside of the select element. You are also missing the closing select tag.

Ah, thank you so much. I thought I checked to be sure that didn't have a closing tag. Thanks again.
