The curly braces denote a dynamic expression for retrieving member values within an object. In the case of your example above, $prop
is the member name of the $jwt
object. Below is a few different ways of accessing object values.
$alg = 'alg';
$jwt->alg // Directly
$jwt->{'alg'} // Dynamically using a string
$jwt->{$alg} // Dyanmically using a variable
